It's most likely it stumbles over the absence of a colon.

Gr.
Dirk.

	Date: 2010-09-09

Hi Hert,

Sometimes, people really want to de-install IDimager for some reason. And they also want to remove all settings.
Wouldn't it be possible to give the user a checkbox to choose a complete de-installation (followed by a security question that all data is removed )

The de-installation should then remove all data saved by IDimager in the registry, %localappdata%, and from the installation folder

A other option would be a removal tool which needs to be downloaded separately.
I have seen such applications a few times... (e.g. ESET smart security)

Best Regards,
Michael

No cataloging without a database.

2: [File|create new catalog database]

I hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction
Best Regard,
Michae

Now IDimager will display the login dialog from where you may choose the database

I hope I could help you with this.

Best Regards,
Michael

	Forum: Installation Questions
Date: 2010-09-09

I installed IDI Pro and tested it by creating a catalog on a network drive. The test went fine so I uninstalled the software and deleted the test catalog. Our I.S. dept. created a new network drive so I re-installed the software and want to start fresh with a new catalog. The software automatically looks for the old catalog in a drive location that no longer exists. I'm in an endless loop of failure when I launch the software. So questions are:

1) Why did the software 'remember' the old catalog when I did an uninstall?
2) How do I start up the software without it needing a catalog?
3) How do I create a new catalog?

Thanks,
-David G.

	Date: 2010-09-09

I encountered the same problem today when trying to import from a network share. I think the symptom is exhibited when the imported directory UNC path is exactly 127 characters long. If you rename the directory so that the UNC path is 126 or 128 characters long the import completes normally. I am running IDimager Pro v5.0.7.

Looks like it doesn't like share names, but drive letters are okay.
