Side-by-Side Comparison
Precision comparison for confident photo decisions.

When you want to analyze multiple images at once, subtle differences in focus, exposure, or composition can be hard to spot if you’re flipping back and forth between files. Photo Supreme makes this effortless with its Light Table, a dedicated workspace designed specifically for side-by-side comparison.

Whether you’re evaluating a series of similar shots, comparing edits, or checking fine details across images, the Light Table gives you a clear, organized view of up to 12 photos simultaneously, so differences are immediately visible and decisions become more precise.

What Is the Light Table?

The Light Table is Photo Supreme’s specialized comparison view where each image is displayed in its own box. You can compare up to 12 images at once, providing a clear overview without shrinking details too much or cluttering your screen.

This makes it perfect for:

  • Comparing subtle differences in focus, exposure, or composition

  • Reviewing multiple versions of the same photo

  • Evaluating small variations in expression or framing

  • Checking edits or adjustments side by side

Flexible Side-by-Side Layout

One of the Light Table’s biggest strengths is flexibility. You can add new image boxes as needed, and when a photo is no longer relevant, you can close its box to keep the workspace focused. This ensures you only see the images that matter, letting your workflow adapt naturally to the task at hand.

Synchronized Zoom and Pan

By default, the Light Table synchronizes zooming and panning across all boxes, so zooming into one image automatically adjusts all others to the same level, and panning moves all images together. This ensures consistent comparisons and makes subtle differences immediately visible.

If you want to zoom or pan a single image independently, simply hold down the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (macOS) while performing the action. This lets you inspect details in one photo without affecting the others.

This feature is invaluable when examining:

  • Critical focus, like eyes or fine textures

  • Motion blur in action shots

  • Noise and detail in low-light photos

  • Small compositional differences

Key Workflow Benefits

Using the Light Table in Photo Supreme offers multiple advantages for photographers:

  • Precise visual comparisons: Spot subtle differences immediately without toggling between files.

  • Consistent evaluation: Default synchronization ensures each photo is judged under the same conditions.

  • Flexible layout: Add or close boxes to keep attention on relevant images.

  • Optimized for complex workflows: Works seamlessly with event, wildlife, sports, or portrait photography where multiple similar shots are common.
